Kapitel invests 8 million euros in Nordic Hotel Forum renovation

The real estate company Kapitel invests 8 million euros in the renovation of Nordic Hotel Forum in the heart of Tallinn. The construction partner is Merko and the hotel operator Nordic Hotels will open the renovated hotel to guests in spring 2021.

Nordic Hotel Forum in Viru Square in the heart of Tallinn was opened in 2007. The renovation project was prepared by the interior architecture bureau ArtAku, the interior architects are Kaire Kemp-Tišler and Ea Andla. All 267 hotel rooms and common areas will be renovated, furnishings will be replaced, and the hotel will have an executive suite and a new restaurant.

“Nordic Hotels as a hotel operator highly appreciates the partnership with the property owner Kapitel in the newly commenced renovation project. The project includes the procurement of technological solutions that will help make the entire customer journey as contact-free as possible during the post-virus period,” said Feliks Mägus, Member of the Management Board of Nordic Hotels.

“An important part of the real estate portfolio management at Kapitel is constant product and service development in our buildings, so as to ensure competitiveness and meet the tenants’ needs. We have been planning to renovate Nordic Hotel Forum for some time, and the current low in the hospitality sector is a reasonable time for the revamp. We continue to appreciate the great location of the hotel in the heart of Tallinn and we believe that the hospitality market will revive,” said Taavi Ojala, CEO of Kapitel.

“Renovating a building we originally constructed is a welcome project for us. We know the building well, we know its details and can provide precise advice to find the most efficient solution to meet the client’s wishes and needs,” said Jaan Mäe, Member of the Management Board of Merko Ehitus Eesti.
